Food and Drug Administration Holds Workshop on “Enhancing the Pharmaceutical Industry Using Artificial Intelligence”

The Food and Drug Administration, in collaboration with Zonetechs, a precision and quality consulting and training company, held a workshop on “Enhancing the Pharmaceutical Industry Using Artificial Intelligence.” The event aimed to discuss the latest scientific and global developments in integrating AI technologies to ensure the availability of safe and effective medicines.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Sahar Qadan, an AI professor at the German University and Technical Director at Bayer in Germany. It covered mechanisms for utilizing AI technologies to enhance the pharmaceutical industry, their role in supporting regulatory and manufacturing strategies, and how they contribute to research and development to drive innovation.

The event was organized by the Directorate of Medicine and the Directorate of Planning and Institutional Performance Development and was attended by Eng. Iman Herzallah , General Manager of Zonetechs, Dr. Rana Malkawi, Director of the Directorate of Medicine at the Food and Drug Administration, along with several directors and relevant institution employees.

The workshop concluded with a commemorative shield being presented to Prof. Dr. Nizar Mahmoud Mehaidat, Director General of the institution, by Eng. Iman Herzallah , in recognition of his continuous efforts and collaboration in supporting competencies and developing the institution’s staff. His contributions play a key role in advancing the national pharmaceutical industry and enhancing its global competitiveness.
